Volunteer Landing is located on the north bank of the Tennessee River in downtown Knoxville.  The walkways along the waterfront are two miles in length and afford spectacular views of the river.  Volunteer Landing is a popular venue for special events.  It is one of the most popular gathering places for Volunteer football fans before and after  home games.  Children can be seen playing in the interactive fountains during the summer months.  Behind the Volunteer Landing is a pedestrian bridge that spans Neyland Drive and provides easy walking access to and from the downtown area.
