Suzanne Schriver is a native Knoxvillian. Upon receiving her
BS, MA and MBA degrees from Tennessee Tech University, she
began a 16 year career in banking at First American Bank in
Nashville, TN. She returned to Knoxville in 1995 to assume
the position of Executive Vice President and head of
Commercial Banking for First American’s Eastern Region. Her
career continued with AmSouth
Bank until she resigned after the birth of her second child in
2003. At that time the bank retained Suzanne to serve on
AmSouth’s Eastern Region Advisory Board. In addition to
numerous past community involvements, Suzanne currently
serves on the Knox County Industrial Development and Health
and Ed Boards as secretary-treasurer; the Knoxville Symphony
Orchestra Board, the Tennessee Tech University College of
Business Board of Trustees as Chairman; the Catholic Diocese
of East Tennessee Finance Board as Credit Committee Chair;
the Baptist Health System Foundation Board; and the Nine
O’clock Cotillion Board as Treasurer.
Suzanne’s awards include most recently, a 2003 YWCA Tribute
to Women Community Volunteer Finalist and the 2004 National
Association of Fundraising Executives Outstanding Fundraiser
of the Year.
