Jeff
Galyon is a Knoxville native and holds a degree in
architecture from the University of Tennessee. In addition
to being a registered architect, Jeff is a certified Project
Management Professional and is serving his second term as
President of the East Tennessee Chapter of the Project
Management Institute; The Go To Resource for Project
Management.
Jeff has
over thirty years of experience in project management
including planning, design and construction. His project
experience covers a wide range of project types with budgets
ranging from $ 100,000.00 to over $ 160,000,000.00.
In June
2000, during the construction of the Knoxville Convention
Center and The World’s Fair Park renovation, PBA hired Jeff
as a consultant to oversee the project scheduling and cost
control. In November of 2002, PBA hired Jeff as a Senior
Project Manager to oversee the closeout of the Knoxville
Convention Center and Related Projects and start the
Knoxville Transit Center Project. Since 2002, Jeff has
managed a host of projects for both the city and county.
Currently, he manages the Hardin Valley High School, The
East TN History Center, Sunsphere Renovations, Amphitheater
Renovations and the Knoxville Transit Center Project. In
March 2007, he was named Director of Property Development
and Information Technology.
Jeff and
his wife, Kathy have two teen-agers, John and Katie who
attend Karn’s High School. In his spare time, Jeff
maintains a vineyard and enjoys the art of wine making.
